Yacht Services

  • Mechanics

We have excellent diagnosticians who are committed to saving you money through efficiency. We regularly install and service systems including engines, raw and fresh water plumbing, electrical and battery systems, generators, heaters, stoves, fuel and filtration systems. Another goal of ours is to help customers understand their own mechanical systems, and we routinely travel to help customers.

  • Carpentry

We are regularly engaged in major restorations of Concordia Yawls and other wooden classics, but our carpentry work extends far beyond that. We have vast experience in repairing and building custom interior joinery on a wide range of yachts. We also regularly repair and build wooden masts, replace teak decks, troubleshoot deck leaks, and re-bed deck hardware. We are capable and confident of tackling any marine carpentry project that will improve your yachting experience.

  • Fiberglass

Our technicians have the talent to fabricate parts from scratch or to repair your fiberglass boat. With in-house skilled professionals specializing in repairs from storm damage and the occasional encounter with underwater obstacles, we can rebuild your boat to its previous strength and cosmetic appearance. We also provide complete blister and bottom core repair, and we refinish, wax and detail many of our storage boats in the spring prior to commissioning. For a beautiful Awlgrip job that will endure not only salt water but also ultra violet rays and corrosion with minimum maintenance, bring your boat to Concordia.

  • Paint

We are fortunate to have excellent paint facilities and personnel at Concordia. We work with both modern and traditional finishes including Awlgrip, West Systems, Epifanes, Interlux, Petit, Sikkens Cetol & Deks Olie and more. Although we work on all types of vessels, our painters take particular pride in the care of wooden boats. We also regularly strip and refinish boat bottoms. Our efficient and highly skilled painters will get your boat looking her best and keep her well protected.

  • Rigging

Expert attention to all details, no matter the boat, is evident in our crew of knowledgeable and experienced riggers well versed in the art of sailing. Concordia riggers are always inspecting the gear they work with, and doing preventive care. Service recommendations are typically made in the Fall, with the goal of tackling projects over the winter and maximizing your time afloat.

We are one of the few remaining yards that offers traditional rigging made to order. We splice wire and line and count many local traditional boatyards as our customers. Rigger Joe Almeida has been with Concordia for 10 years. He is incredibly talented with his hands and he can make anything you need, but can't find.

  • Hauling & Launching

Concordia hauls and launches many boats at the Dartmouth Town Landing with Brownell Systems. Our riggers, mechanics, and primary service contacts act on behalf of the owners in bringing boats to the trailers. In order to get your boat onto our property for maintenance, repair, and restoration, we will work with Brownell to haul and launch from many ramps between Newport and Hingham.

  • Mooring Service

We offer mooring commissioning, decommissioning, inspection, and installation in the South Dartmouth / Padanaram area. We have 65 years of experience in the mooring field, and members off our team are in Padanaram harbor every day. Concordia has approximately 155 moorings which are rented out. We also manage a waiting list for vacancies.

  • People

Our collective experience is our most important offering as a company. Our average team member has been a part of Concordia for 9 years.

  • Facilities

Our facilities in south Dartmouth are extensive, marine-optimized and world-class. We have multiple workshops, rigging sheds, paint bays, and systems facilities, in addition to climate-controlled storage and wooden-boat-optimized storage with proper humidity levels. Whatever your project needs, we can accommodate you at our yard.
